Home Care Provider Pilot Program Canada

A fairly new program introduced as a new pathway for caregivers looking to apply for permanent residence in Canada. Like its predecessor program, the In-Home Caregiver program, and the Live-In Caregiver program these pilots are separated into two (2) different streams:

• The Home Child Care Provider Pilot.
• The Home Support Worker Pilot.

Both the 5-year pilot programs are designed to help the foreign skilled and experienced home support providers relocate to Canada. Initially, the caregivers are issued a work permit upon the approval of their application. After gaining Canadian work experience in the caregiving industry, you can apply for permanent residency in Canada.

Home Child Care Providers

Home Child Care Provider aids parents take care of their children and maybe helps them with household chores at times.

Home Support Worker Providers

Home Support Workers look after, provide personal care and companionship to the seniors, disabled and individuals in rehabilitation during their recovery. Their duties include but are not limited to feeding, bathing, dressing, administering medications, preparing meals etc. They can also look after the children, but that should not be their primary responsibility. The best part about immigrating under this program is that it allows you to change employers as per your desire. Also, it enables you to invite your family to join you in Canada.
